WHAT ARE YOU DOING BEFORE THE CHURCH LAUNCHES?
Our leadership core is raising up a launch team which consists of people who would believe in the value of a life-giving church and would like to see one in our area. The launch team will meet as a group and go through the Growth Track material and launch team training. There will also be inter-socials which are events designed to connect you pre-launch with our church. The inter-socials will consist of Ice Cream Socials, Movies on the Lawn, Coffee & Cake and other group times to enjoy hanging out and connecting. This along with individual times of hanging out will lead us into our launch of January 22, 2017.
WHAT WILL THE WEEKEND SERVICE BE LIKE?
Weekends at Church of the Coast are designed to be a worship experience. You will find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music and a practical, relevant message. You’ll also find a printed outline for notes in your worship guide that will help you make the most of each week’s teaching. Young children are well-cared for in a loving, quality nursery that is operated by trained and certified child care workers while older children will enjoy a fun-filled Coast Kids service.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I VISIT FOR THE FIRST TIME?
If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you! You will not be ask to stand up or ask you to give money.
We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for awhile—and that’s fine with us! So feel welcome to come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.
WHAT DO I WEAR TO ATTEND YOUR SERVICES?
You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits. Come in what is comfortable for you, because The Coast is not about what you look like or what you wear.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?
At Church of the Coast your children are a top priority. Our nurseries are clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers who have all undergone a background search. We offer a dynamic children’s ministry called Coast Kids.
HOW CAN I MEET OTHERS AND GET CONNECTED?
There are many ways to get involved. You can begin before we launch by attending an intersocial or emailing our pastor (email@example.com). We would love to buy you coffee or have a meal together. You can also attend one of our launch team meetings.
Small groups are another great way to connect and will launch the Fall of 2017. In each of these, you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith.
HOW CAN I BE DISCIPLED AND GROW?
Our desire is to see you become a mature, fully-devoted follower of Jesus Christ. Our Growth Track offers the tools necessary to make this happen in your life. You can begin the process at any step in our Growth Track.
HOW CAN I BE APART OF THE TEAM?
A great way to grow in your relationship with God is to do one of the things He has designed you for! And we believe that is to serve other. This looks different for each person because everyone is gifted differently. At The Coast you have the opportunity to serve God by serving with others on The Dream Team. This is a team of people who serve in various roles such as parking, ushers, Coast Kids, A-Team (administrative), Prayer Team, Set-up Team, Worship Team, Check-In Team and others.
Each of these teams are what makes a Sunday morning service happen! And when Sunday’s happen well, we believe people encounter God, meeting Jesus and true, positive life change occurs. So go to Growth Track and join a Team! You will have the time of your life!
WHY DO YOU HAVE SMALL GROUPS?
Small groups are an important part of Church of the Coast; in fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced our small groups. Groups allow you to meet other members and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God.
As Church of the Coast grows, groups will allow us to “stay small” and connected. Groups are available for all ages and interests—there’s bound to be one that’s just right for you. Learn more about Small Groups in Growth Track. These will launch the Fall of 2017.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED IN A SMALL GROUP?
One of the easiest things to do at Church of the Coast is to participate in a small group. Groups will launch the Fall of 2017 and will meet throughout Tampa Bay and provide a place for Bible study, fellowship, and support. Wherever you live, there’s probably a small group near you. Be looking for our online directory and plan to visit a group.
