We are so excited to introduce you to Church of the Coast! And it is a real pleasure to tell you about what God is doing!
Do you believe that you God truly loves you and has a good plan for your life? We do! And our church is here to help you in your journey of discovering these truths.
That is why we launched Church of the Coast.
We are fully convinced that God has a good, predetermined plan for your life. And we believe that the best way to discovery and walk in that plan for each season of your life is to be apart of a life-giving church.
You may wonder what a life-giving church looks like. Well, we believe church should be a place where people just like you feel included and where you have an encounter with God. And we believe church should be a place where you find a community of people from all backgrounds who are here to encourage you along your journey regardless of where you are. That’s part of what a life-giving church is about.
It is our goal to infuse life and God’s love into people and families through engaging, powerful worship and biblical truth which is shared in relevant and practical messages. We will encourage and foster authentic and enduring relationships. Because we know that each of us was created to do life in relationship with God and with others. Together, we’re striving to become the kind of church described in the Bible and have a kind of contagious Christianity that can influence and encourage one life at a time.
So whether you are a spiritual seeker who has only recently been stirred to ask questions about God, are a professing Christian who still possesses doubts or are a committed Christian who is looking for place to feel at home, join us here at Church of the Coast.
Any time before January 22, 2017 you are welcome to connect with our Leadership Team directly or attend one of our Interest Hangouts. We would love to get you plugged in early! And feel welcome to tell a friend!
We are praying for each member and visitor even now!
Our purpose at Church of the Coast is:
“To reach people with the life-giving message of Jesus that they might become mature, fully devoted followers of Christ.”
Our statement of purpose is based on two teachings of Jesus:
Jesus replied: “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:36-40 ESV
“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

Church of the Coast:
We evaluate every idea, program, and budget request through our purpose statement. If any idea or program does not help advance this purpose, we won’t do it. But if it does, we will fully empower and work to fund it!
We believe that God has an impactful and joyful life planned for everyone who would receive it. But to discover that plan the Bible indicates that you must receive Christ and then maintain an active, healthy relationship with God. This is why we believe the local church exists. And why our story is connected to you and your story!
After serving with two church plants both of which remain active and vibrant today, Trent served as an associate evangelist with an international ministry. While serving as an evangelist God opened doors in eight nations and there were over 13,000 decisions made for Christ through Trent and the team he worked with in sharing the good news of Jesus. After one exciting and very impactful crusade, the Lord began working in Trent’s heart as he walked off the crusade platform to see over 1,500 people return to their homes. Despite having a clear system of decision cards and network of local pastors to disciple the new converts, God began stirring Trent to go deeper with those he was ministering to. And on December 23, 2014 God revealed a clear call to church planting which became confirmed and more clearly developed through other clear revelations from the Lord.
So while serving as a lawyer for seven years and in ministry part time the plans to plant began. And in June of 2016, the Garmon family moved to Pinellas County, Florida. Holly and their children
We will help people connect with God and others!
